Start small and the blog will load quickly and then actively monitor your loading speed every time you install something new. Don’t go off installing all these “fun” plugins you don’t need, they could break your site!

Basically this is software that tracks how visitors behave when they are on your site. It will tell you everything from which pages your visitors read to how long they spent reading them. You will see which pages are the most popular entry points, which keywords were used in the search engines and more.

Where blogs are concerned, it is putting everything in place right before you actually allow it to go live. This isn’t completely necessary and it just makes your launch take more time. You only need to have the absolute essentials in place, like your content and the few plug-ins that you need the most. You don’t have to set up all of the other stuff, like categories, etc. Just have between three and five. Make sure that the copy on your homepage matches the approach and the themes you are going to use. Then just put a couple of posts in each category and you are good to go.
